What is Experience Suites?
Experience Suites is a collection of private luxury suites for couples in South Africa. Each suite is secluded, fully themed, and includes a guided couples' experience. The flagship suite, Naughty by Nature, is in Wilderness on the Garden Route.
Where is Naughty by Nature?
Naughty by Nature is in Wilderness on the Garden Route, about 15 km from George. The exact address is shared with guests once their booking is confirmed, to protect the privacy of the suite.
How much does a night cost?
Rates follow the season: R5,500 a night for the spring special, R6,500 in December and January, and R6,000 from February. Retreat packages are priced separately.
Is Experience Suites adults only?
Yes. Every suite is for adults only, designed for two guests. Guests must be 18 or older.
What's included in a stay?
Every stay includes the private suite, its outdoor living spaces such as the deck, boma and private hot tub, and the guided couples' experience, which starts before you arrive and continues during your stay.
Does the suite have a private hot tub?
Yes. Naughty by Nature has its own private hot tub, along with an outdoor kitchen, a boma and a fire deck, all for your exclusive use.
How far in advance should we book?
As early as you can. Naughty by Nature is often booked months ahead, with bookings already running into August 2027, so popular dates like December, Valentine's Day and long weekends fill first.
Can we buy a stay as a gift?
Yes. Ask us on WhatsApp for a gift voucher for any amount or for a specific stay. Vouchers are sent by email.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation terms are confirmed with your booking. Ask us on WhatsApp and we'll send them with your quote.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
We confirm check-in and check-out times with your booking. Arrival details and directions are sent before your stay.
For partners
What is an Experience Suites partner?
An Experience Suites partner owns a secluded building that we turn into an Experience Suite. We design and fit out the suite, license the brand and the guided experience, and market and book it. The partner's team runs it day to day.
How much does it cost to become a partner?
The investment starts from R2.25M: a R500,000 partner fee plus a kit-out from R1,750,000, quoted per site. Once the suite is live, fees are charged only on what the suite earns.
What fees do partners pay once the suite is live?
Partners pay 15% on bookings through the Experience Suites website (10% for bookings and marketing, plus a 5% brand licence). On bookings from Airbnb or Booking.com, which Experience Suites manages, only the 5% licence applies.
What could a partner suite earn?
At Naughty by Nature's average rate of about R5,786 a night, an established suite booked 20 nights a month earns about R115,700 in bookings and could keep around R880,000 a year after fees and R25,000 in monthly running costs. These are estimates based on one operating suite, not a guarantee.
How long until a partner suite pays for itself?
At 20 nights a month, the projected payback on R2.25M is about 2.6 years. A slower suite takes longer: at 10 nights a month it's about 7.8 years, so we show partners every scenario before they sign.
What kind of property qualifies?
An existing, habitable building in a secluded, private spot, already approved for guest accommodation, with water and electricity connected and room for decks and outdoor living. A location within about two hours' drive of a major city helps.
Do you build from scratch?
No. We fit out existing buildings: cottages, barns, outbuildings or shells with a roof. That's what makes it fast. We don't construct new buildings or handle council approvals for change of use.
Who runs the suite day to day?
The partner's own team handles cleaning, grounds and guest care, following our operating standards and training. We handle design, fit-out, the brand, marketing and bookings.
Which regions are open?
Cape Town and the Winelands, and Hartbeespoort are opening first. KwaZulu-Natal, Greater Kruger, and the Free State and Karoo follow. Founding partners receive regional exclusivity.
How do I apply?
Apply with the form on the partner page, then send three photos of your building on WhatsApp. We'll arrange an introductory call, then a feasibility visit and a proposal with a fixed kit-out quote.
